Interview Questions!
We'll get things started with Danielle Bannister!
Let’s start with a little something about you. What do you want the readers to know?
I guess that I was first a theatre major, so my writing tends to lend itself to intense situations like you
might find in a play. Heightend stakes, constant, 'what happens next' moments. I don't like to waste
words. They have to serve a purpose in the story. Those that dont, get deleted.
Now? Tell us about your book(s).
My newest one, NETHERWORLD, is a co-written novel with my dear friend and fantasy author, Amy
Miles. This is the first of three in this series. It's a story of a Banshee and the human she shouldn't be
able to see. Amy and I were recently signed with GH Literary Management for our work on NETHERWORLD. We're excited to see where this takes us!
I also have written the Twin Flames Trilogy. These books are suspence/romance and
included: PULLED, PULLED BACK, AND PULLED BACK AGAIN (I'm wicked good with title's aren't I?
hahaha)
List of favorites…

Bread, cheese, sugar? That covers the main food groups, right?
Lucky number?
Eleventeen. Ever since my daughter said it when learning to count, it has been my favorite.
Movie? Actor? Actress?
I guess if I had to choose just one, it would be The Breakfast Club. That gave me a good taste of
what dramatic tension is all about. Actor/Actress. Sheesh, um I'll watch anything with Colin Firth or
Julia Roberts.
Song?
Blackbird, by The Beatles
Memory?
All of my college years. haha
Way to spend your down time?
There never seems to be enough of that, does there? But I would nap or read.

Ache
Author?
John Green. He's bumped some other favorites out of the way, haha.

Perfume/cologne?
Allergic, but I do like the smell of Polo
Place you’ve visited?
The Bahamas. It was so stinking beautiful.
Guilty pleasure?
Can I say naps again? haha

I have two young kids, so I watch a LOT of kid shows. But I guess Wild Kratz was the one that I didn't
want to stab my own eyes out watching. Haha

Do you have any rituals when you write?
Some sort of sugary drink while sitting at my desk. That's about it.
What/who encouraged you to be a writer and what/who inspires you to keep writing?
My dear friend, Kari Suderely, was the first person I ever allowed to see my writing. It was with her bullprodding that I decided to self publish. Her belief in me that I actually had a good story was the push I needed. As for inspiration, I would say it's the fans that contact me, letting me know that my books touched them or stuck with them. I always seem to get those on the days I have self-doubt about my writting, so I'm taking that as a sign to keep on going!
Writing plans for the future?
I'm going to finish the sequel to NETHERWORLD, which will be called HOLLOW EARTH, followed by ISLE
OF GLASS. I have three other novels started in different genres so we will see which one screams the
loudest inside my head.

What is your opinion on S’mores? Burnt marshmallow or not?
Don't burn my marshmallow.
Tell us a story about something you’ve witnessed that made you laugh.
Man, my kids. Every day. They crack me up.
Most embarrassing moment ever?
I passed out once in junior high. I was mortified to wake to all of these kids staring at me.
You can teleport anywhere and any era you wish. You can only bring 3 things with you. Where do you
go and what do you bring?
Maybe the 50's. I'd bring my laptop (that would miraculously work in the 50's) and my two kiddos.
What are your feelings about chocolate milk?
Where is my glass?
Pet person? Do you have them? If so, tell us about them?
I am. Love animals. I am allergic to cats, so naturally, I have a cat. Oy. His name is Bilbo and he is really
old. I adopted him a few months ago. All he does is sleep and eat, but he looks happy doing it. Haha!
Tell us about your first kiss.
I was thirteen? The guy's name was George. He kissed me outside my house and my parents were
peaking out of the window the whole time. We never went out again. haha
Have you ever walked down a toy aisle at a store and pushed all the buttons?
Perhaps... *whistles and walks away
It’s raining outside, you’re completely alone, what do you do?
Nap or read. Haha.

And now? Amy Miles!!!
Let’s start with a little something about you. What do you want the readers to know?
I get bored easily when it comes to writing. That goes for genres, characters, plot line, etc so that means I don’t plan out most of the books I write. I need them to be spur of the moment, fly by the seat of my pants style to keep me excited about the project. Even though I fall in love with most of my characters, I do eventually reach a point where I’m ready to put them out to pasture and hop into a new character’s brain for a while.
Now? Tell us about your book(s).
I write a little of everything, from paranormal romance to sci-fi, inspirational and even horror. I predominately write for teens. I love their angsty sarcastic whit, their “I can take on the whole world” sort of attitude. I love their rebellion and their innocence at times.
My newest book, NETHERWORLD, is a joint venture with fantasy/romance author, Danielle Bannister. We wanted to come up with something outside of the box, something not overdone or plotted to death so we chose banshees. NETHERWORLD is a tale of mythology, of forbidden love and all the little wrenches the Fates can throw in their path. NETHERWORLD is the first book of the Hallowed Realms trilogy. HOLLOW EARTH and ISLE OF GLASS will follow. Danielle and I were recently signed with GH Literary Management for our work on NETHERWORLD. We're excited to see where this takes us!
List of favorites…
· Quote?
“All things are possible…”
· Color?
Mine changes depending on my mood. Today it’s black…because its badass.
· Food?
My go to food of choice is BBQ spare ribs from the local Chinese joint. Sweet and tangy. Yum!
· Lucky number?
Isn’t it usually 7?
· Movie? Actor? Actress?
I LOVE Notting Hill. Hugh Grant is just…le sigh. I love his accent (even though my hubby has the same one, Hugh Grant is just suave).
· Song?
This one depends on my mood too. I love “Where Feet May Fail” and listen to it often. If I’m writing a battle scene I love to throw on some Nickleback “Next Contestant”
· Memory?
My husband assisting with the birth of our son, despite the fact that he was terrified he would pass out!
· Way to spend your down time?
Down time? Good lord! I can’t remember the last time I had that! I work on vacation for goodness sakes! Um…I love to travel with my family, play golf, pretend that I still have time to read books, cook, goof off in the pool, hike, etc. Mostly outdoors stuff since I’m always stuck behind a laptop.
· Word?
Wicked.
· Author?
Hands down I love Sophie Jordan for the simple fact that her book Firelight came out at the time that I was first starting to truly explore my own writing career and her writing style inspired me.
· Secret indulgence?
Cake. Yep…enough said.
· Perfume/cologne?
I LOVE Hugo Boss on my husband. Personally…I don’t have a favorite.
· Place you’ve visited?
Although I have greatly enjoyed getting to see different parts of Europe I truly think my favorite place is the Dominican Republic. My family and I go there once or twice every year for vacation. It is the only week or two of the entire year that we can truly relax.
· Guilty pleasure?
Right now it’s taking the time to watch X-Files. I forgo sleep for that show!
· Cartoon?
Monsters Inc. is my favorite cartoon movie. That count? I love Mike!
· Do you have any rituals when you write?
I use earplugs. The sound of talking, music, tv or even the clacking of keys throws me off. I need complete silence to really focus.
· What/who encouraged you to be a writer and what/who inspires you to keep writing?
The sheer enjoyment of it. I’m sort of an obsessive writer. If I have to forgo writing for a few days I get antsy…literally. It’s like a mental release for me, otherwise the characters all start bickering in my head and it just gets ugly!
· Writing plans for the future?
Oh my. Well to finish out this year I have NETHERWORLD coming out August 5 and begin writing the sequel, HOLLOW EARTH. WITHER, my horror/thriller novel coming October 28th. Then I have to finish writing SAVAGE and REFUGE to complete my Immortal Rose Trilogy. In 2015 I have an inspirational novel, 4 greek mythology books, 3 or 4 Shadow Lands novels and possibly the sequel to my horror novel.
· What is your opinion on S’mores? Burnt marshmallow or not?
No marshmallow. Just give me the chocolate and graham cracker and I’m happy. Course I do enjoy burning a few mallows if the mood calls for it.
· Tell us a story about something you’ve witnessed that made you laugh.
My husband will kill me for sharing this but when our son was a baby, Rick was in the process of changing his diaper but our son was a bit too quick. So, instead of letting the washable changing pad take the brunt of it, my husband decided to player catcher and went in hands first. Yeah…good times.
· Most embarrassing moment ever?
I can’t actually think of one off the top of my head but I suck at remembering people’s names so I usually fake it and grin like a fool, trying to be polite until I place the name or I just give up and come clean. I never forget a face though!
· You can teleport anywhere and any era you wish. You can only bring 3 things with you. Where do you go and what do you bring?
Hands down I would head to medieval times. I’ve always been fascinated by it. So I would bring with me, in no particular order: toilet paper, hand sanitizer and a helmet…cause there is no way on earth I’d manage to stay on a horse’s back!
· What are your feelings about chocolate milk?
Why must people ruin a good thing??
· Pet person? Do you have them? If so, tell us about them?
I’m a feline lover living with a cat hater. No seriously. My husband HATES cats. So I have a dog. Joy.
· Tell us about your first kiss.
My first kiss and my last will be with my husband. I read a book when I was a young girl about a teenager who decided that the only man she would ever kiss was the man she chose to spend the rest of her life with. I made the same vow that day and I stuck with it. My husband is the only man I have ever kissed, and he’s all I will ever need.
· Have you ever walked down a toy aisle at a store and pushed all the buttons?
Um no. I’d be the one following behind with a baseball bat to shut them all up! (I have a little boy. Moms…you understand)
· It’s raining outside, you’re completely alone, what do you do?
Write. Duh!
· Words of wisdom for our readers?
